(Sorry for the bad pictures - this was very hard to photograph...)
The original
MOSSY COWL is a design by KATIE HIMMELBERG (free pattern on
Knitting Daily), but it uses a Naturally Mist 1-ply Yarn. Since I am allergic to natural yarn, I used 3 x 100gr (+/- 100m) skeins of acrylic Vitalgo Polo (Shade ~512), made in Romania. I am not sure I am not allergic to this specific one too (apparently
it's not uncommon). Anyway, to fit the form to the new yarn, I made some changes:
Instead of the last part:
"
Rep FPtr rnd 2 more times—3 tr rnds completed. Work FPdc rnd 5 times, then work FPtr rnd 3 times, then work FPdc rnd 5 more times. Fasten off and weave in ends."
I did:
"Rep FPtr rnd 2 more times—3 tr rnds completed. Work FPdc rnd 5 times, then work
FPqdr rnd 3 times, then work
FPtr rnd
3 more times. Fasten off and weave in ends."
(qdr=quadruple)
An aposteriori remark is that I did all the dc with entering
the back loops only.
