2.10-26.12.09 Echarpe Volante knitted with Omer's needles

In a difficult period, this scarf knitting "Echarpe a volants" (Bergère de France n°132, In > 21 - Echarpe) was a great therapy for me. It was very very long to knit and I thought I was becoming mad, but I succeeded to finish it!!!
By the way, the needles I used which appear in the pictures, were handmade by Omer (!!!) and are of size 9mm.
I got the idea to make it following my visit to La Bouclaine, this summer in France. Thanks Marie for your help with it!
By the way, the 2 100m skeins are mohair (Bleu canard de Le mohair des fermes de France - Caresse) and smells so warm and gentle... They served as a great cuddling stuff along the way back from Barcus, back to Spain.

18.12.09 Garter Scarf for Ynon

This scarf was done for my Oldest sister newborn's baby, 4th child - but first son.

The pattern is a Free design by DROPS, called " b17-7 Scarf and socks in garter st in ”Eskimo”".

It took me 5 hrs.
Since I didn't use the same yarn, it required several changes, so I casted on 20 sts, using 2 strands together of the TeDdy's Wool Sympatic yarn. The total length and width are accordingly 60cm x 16.5 cm. The hole is 8 cm length (about half the width of the scarf).

20.6.09 Medallion Motif Scarf

I began this great Medallion Motif Scarf one day before flying to Zurich. It was a perfect project for the time spent on the flight and at the airport. I also had much fun crocheting with a 8mm hook!
It is very hard to photograph the scarf and the best way to understand how it looks is to visit the free project page on Lion Brand website (though the Motif I got is smaller than the ones that appears on the blond girl there). Maybe when winter comes and I have a better picture, I'll post it here.

27-28.1.09 Magenta Mossy Cowl

(Sorry for the bad pictures - this was very hard to photograph...)

The original MOSSY COWL is a design by KATIE HIMMELBERG (free pattern on Knitting Daily), but it uses a Naturally Mist 1-ply Yarn. Since I am allergic to natural yarn, I used 3 x 100gr (+/- 100m) skeins of acrylic Vitalgo Polo (Shade ~512), made in Romania. I am not sure I am not allergic to this specific one too (apparently it's not uncommon). Anyway, to fit the form to the new yarn, I made some changes:
Instead of the last part:

"Rep FPtr rnd 2 more times—3 tr rnds completed. Work FPdc rnd 5 times, then work FPtr rnd 3 times, then work FPdc rnd 5 more times. Fasten off and weave in ends."

I did:

"Rep FPtr rnd 2 more times—3 tr rnds completed. Work FPdc rnd 5 times, then work FPqdr rnd 3 times, then work FPtr rnd 3 more times. Fasten off and weave in ends."
(qdr=quadruple)

An aposteriori remark is that I did all the dc with entering the back loops only.
